Here are some answers to common questions.

The giving amount is suggested - feel free to be generous and give more, or select another need to give towards!

If there are no specific gift requests, gift cards to local stores (Superstore, Walmart, Toys R Us) or online retailers are a great alternative!

Yes! Please feel free to include a Christmas card from you and your family or life group as a personal touch.

For most families, we have no way of knowing if they are being sponsored for Christmas gifts by another agency or church. Your gifts may be the only ones they receive this Christmas.

You should receive detailed instructions in your confirmation email; please deliver these gifts with a note of which number family you selected directly to Parkside Elementary, attention Leanne Fleming.

Many in our community can use our love and care this season. Bring joy to a family by buying and delivering gifts to local families this Christmas.

After you choose a household, we'll send you details about the family, any special requests, and how you can deliver your gifts. You are responsible for delivering the gifts to local families.

Encourage an International Student

We have several international students studying at nearby universities and colleges that are a part of our community. We'd love to encourage them this year with a small gift as they spend the holidays away from their families.

Choose the "International Students at NLCC" option from the list in the registration.

NLCC supports several missionaries with different organizations as they share the good news of Jesus around the world.

This Advent you can bless our global missionaries by making a special donation, and sending a note to encourage them.

Choose one of our "NLCC Global Family" options from the list in the registration (starting at "Blessing #51" near the bottom of the list).

Support Someone in Need in Downtown Langley
In partnership with Raphael House

Raphael House opened in 2020 to be a local centre where families experiencing hardship are supported through everyday necessities and empowered in other support areas. They support Langley families by providing them with groceries, life skills, and resources, serving nearly 400 families weekly.

All of our Raphael House Families have been sponsored from our Advent Blessings registration, but you can still support them by donating or signing up to volunteer directly with Raphael House!

Bless Students and Their Families in Uganda
In partnership with Kuwasha

Kuwasha, on of NLCC's Global Outreach Partners, provides the opportunity for individuals and families to give monthly support to a student at their school in Uganda. This provides each student with a quality Christian education, nutritious meals at school, health care for the student's whole family and access to development programs that benefit the entire community (such as micro-loans for starting businesses and clean water initiatives). The cost is $80 per month per student, typically shared between two sponsors at $40 each. Both options are offered, and 100% of sponsorship funds go directly to Uganda

Or give an Advent Blessing this year by sending a gift to help families in Uganda. For only $50, you can provide a student with a new school sweater and a gift basket for their family containing essential items and food.

Support Ukrainian Relief and Development
In partnership with Pastor Andriy Zolotaryov and Multi-Nation Missions Foundation

Andriy Zolotaryov is a Ukrainian pastor currently residing here in the Fraser Valley. He pastors Ukrainian Bible Church, which meets both in Abbotsford and on Saturday nights in the chapel right here at the Walnut Grove Campus. They are also actively engaging in humanitarian work in Ukraine with an organization called Multi-Nation Missions Foundation.

Their relief and development work is primarily focused on 4 areas:

  • Care for seniors with the “Golden Years” Project
  • Care for previously orphaned women and their children
  • War Relief
  • Assisting displaced Ukrainian families that arrive here in the Fraser Valley 

They currently provide food, clothes, hygienic items, and medication for people who have fled war-affected areas and continue to provide spiritual, emotional, and financial support for people who decide to stay.

As a part of Advent Blessings this year you can give financially to support Ukraine Humanitarian work on the ground in Ukraine.
