On Easter Sunday in 1987, North Langley Community Church launched its first Sunday gathering in the North Langley area. NLCC was founded on a few key distinctives: meaningful worship, a focus on reaching kids and youth, community in weekly gatherings of small groups, and serving and loving the community.

NLCC wants to keep multiplying so that growing communities in Langley would have access to local churches in their neighborhoods, continuing the vision that planted North Langley Community church over 30 years ago.

Transferring Membership
For former members of Mennonite Brethren churches

If you would like to move your membership from another Mennonite Brethren church, it is possible to be excused from the first two sessions of the course. Here is what we do ask you to do:

  • Register for the course. Contact Pastor Tim directly and indicate you are requesting a transfer from an MB church.
  • Provide a transfer letter indicating departure "in good standing" from your former MB Church.
  • Review the Mennonite Brethren Confession of Faith.
  • Complete the self-guided video portion of the course (equivalent to week 3's session, but done at home; link sent to registrants).
  • Attend the final two sessions of the course in person, which focus on NLCC ethos and structures.
  • Complete the membership application, elder interview, and video introduction (links sent to registrants).

If you are transferring from a non-MB church, we ask you to complete the full process (attending all sessions).
