The Bible says of itself that it is "living and active" (Hebrews 4:12), "God-breathed and... useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work" (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Yet for most people, the Bible is an intimidating and hard-to-understand book. Even Christians often give it an honoured place in home decor, but seldom open it and read. Yet the Bible holds a message that can change our lives! The Bible Course is an opportunity to get to know your Bible in depth - to see how each book, with its famous and complex characters, epic events, and wide-ranging teachings, fits into the great story of salvation through Jesus.
You will learn some helpful ways to read, understand and apply Scripture for yourself, so that the Bible truly becomes "a light to my path and a lamp to my feet" (Psalm 119:105).
