A Father Who Welcomes Us Home

The religious leaders in Jesus’ day thought they had the right picture of God - one who is holy and who never - ever - associates with unholiness. But Jesus shares this well-known parable to confront that picture and turn it on its head. The Father’s heart welcomes ALL people. If you have ever felt ‘away’ from home, for whatever reason that perhaps only you know, the message of this parable is clear: Come home. God is waiting with open arms.
