The Temple and the End of the Age

Jesus, knowing He is nearing the end of His life, begins to tell the disciples what will happen soon after He dies.  The news is not good.  They are told to anticipate wars, earthquakes, persecution, and the destruction of the Temple and Jerusalem.  Throughout this, though, Jesus preaches hope to his disciples then and to us now: even when it feels like the world is ending, stand firm in anticipation of a reunion with Jesus.
