Our Daily Bread

Asking God in prayer for our “daily bread” keeps us in a posture of dependence and contentment, reminding us of our most fundamental relationship with God: he is our Father, we are his children. Daily bread means everything essential to sustain life, physically and spiritually, and God delights in us when we ask! Even when we struggle with answers we don’t (or maybe never will) understand, honest prayers of petition help us draw near to God.
