Since The First Tragedy of man rejecting God, and sin entering the world, no one has been untouched by tragedy. We can try to avoid it or ignore it, but it finds us anyway. It has become a part of our human experience.
But the Good News of the Gospel as Tragedy is that we have a God, a Saviour, who does not leave us alone in the midst of our suffering. He entered the world and experienced tragedy alongside us and now stands, arms open wide, inviting us to walk with him through the tragedies of life.
We are not alone.
You are not alone.
We have a friend in suffering, an empathetic Saviour who does not take us out of our tragedy, but meets us in it. He does not protect us from tragedy, but sustains us through it.
