A Tale of Two Wisdoms

As James continues to lay out what it means to become an apprentice of Jesus, he talks about our need for wisdom to be able to use our tongue in a God-honouring way. But that needed wisdom can come from two sources, and as James describes, those sources are polar opposite and produce two very different results.
