I’m the Worship Pastor here and I provide leadership over all things Worship and Tech related. In a nutshell, I oversee our services and the teams involved in those services. This includes our Worship Teams, Tech Teams, Service Planning Team, etc. I also provide oversight for our Prayer Team and sit on the Lead Team.
I have been on staff at NLCC as Worship Pastor since 2005. Before joining this team, my family and I lived in Winnipeg where I was the Director of Music and Arts at a church called The Meeting Place. I’ve always loved music and have been involved in music both inside and outside the church for many years.
I have been married to Sheri since 1997 and we have 3 kids: Isaac (1999), Maxwell (2000) and Ruby (2002). We have a very cute Australian Labradoodle named Sully, and we love him lots. Our home is filled with laughter, music, yelling, books and movies/tv. We’re a tight family that fights a lot and loves each other a lot. We love good food, good stories and good music.
Musically, I’ve been enjoying people like Olafur Arnolds, Max Richter, David Ramirez, John Mayer and Sufjan Stevens these days. In terms of speakers/authors, I’ve been loving people like Brian Zahnd, Jordan Peterson, Richard Rohr, N.T. Wright, C.S. Lewis, G.K. Chesterton, Chaim Potok and many more. Food: I love all sorts of food, including Indian, Steak, Pizza, etc. Hobbies/Activities: I love going for long walks with my dog Sully, making music and reading. And, of course - I love my family! Movie/TV Shows: I’ve enjoyed Broadchurch, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Last Man on Earth, and others. Recently saw “I Tonya” and felt like laughing and crying at the same time!
