The Public Reading of Scripture

When was the last time you read the Bible out loud? When was the last time you read it out loud with others? As much as we may or may not read the Bible to ourselves, so many today neglect the public reading of Scripture. And because of that, we are missing out on something beautiful and tangible in how God may want to speak to us. The public reading of Scripture was (and is) part and parcel of Jewish worship, and something that we as apprentices of Jesus can learn from today.
