Why does Paul seem to tell women they cannot teach or have authority? And is it true women are saved through childbearing? As we dive into 1 Timothy 2 we find that Paul is actually prohibiting certain women in Ephesus from teaching in a domineering way. His desire is that they learn and grow in the truth so that they won’t be easily deceived. We end with the hope that our salvation comes from Jesus- the child who was born to crush the head of the serpent.
